WHEN SHOULD I SEEK OUT A THERAPIST?
Many people seek out a therapist when they are experiencing a crisis. However, the best time to create positive change in your life is BEFORE “…it” hits the fan! When we are in crisis mode, the only thing to be done is attend to the crisis. A crisis can be large or small. It is any life event that causes extreme instability and/or strong emotional change [either good or bad change]. Crises happen to all of us at one time or another. By creating a safe space with a therapist PRIOR to some of life’s challenging events, it may help you ease some of the distress associated finding support during large and small crises.
